This is a Mark for buying and selling. If you study further this Mark is a seal in the forehead or right hand. In the King James the English word used is “epi” for upon or in. English word epidermis

Side note, A Mark on the forehead was symbolic, “To Serve” and the right hand in religious rituals, was the hand to swear an oath. Roman soldiers swore an oath to Cesar ¬†with the right hand. In some movies you can also see them going to a priest in the temple of their gods, having a blood ritual performed, with blood smeared on their forehead. Then with the right hand oath, and the forehead with blood, they were ready to serve, Cesar and their sworn oath. Look for it in the movies, you will see it. They did the ritual also so they could be protected and victorious. They had to swear the oath, and have their forehead seal.
